Hodder & Stoughton has signed an authorised biography of "Mrs Brown's Boys" star, Brendan O'Carroll.
The Real Mrs Brown: The Authorised Biography of Brendan O'Carroll, by Brian Beacom, will be published on 12th September.
Editorial director Fenella Bates acquired world rights to the title from Paul Moreton at Bell Lomax Moreton Agency.
Th ebook will tell O'Carroll's life story, from his impoverished Dublin childhood to his success as writer and star of the BBC1 sitcom "Mrs Brown's Boys", which was the most viewed programme on Christmas Day 2012, with nearly 12m viewers.
The book will be released as an e-book and hardback priced at £20.
On 10th October, Penguin division Michael Joseph will release Mrs Brown's Family Handbook, written by O'Carroll in the guise of the foulmouthed matriarch Mrs Brown. The hardback is priced at £18.99.
