Hodder is to publish the first tie-in title to ITV's daytime chat show "Loose Women" in time for Mother's Day. Loose Women: Girls' Night In will be released on 5th March as a £14.99 hardback. Fenella Bates, editor of non-fiction at Hodder bought the title from Granada TV.
Each chapter will offer advice, confessions, reminiscences and "banter" on different subjects including sex, marriage and men from each of the eight presenters: journalist and former "GMTV" weather presenter Andrea McLean; former "GMTV" showbiz reporter Jackie Brambles; Nolan Sister Coleen Nolan; radio presenter Carol McGiffin; singer Jane McDonald; "Coronation Street" actresses Sherrie Hewson and Denise Welch; and "Calendar Girls" actress Lynda Bellingham.
The publisher described it as: "sometimes laugh-out-loud funny, at other times deeply moving . . . a celebration of smart, gutsy women everywhere".
The "Loose Women" will also look back at the celebrity guests that have appeared on the show. There will be a picture section including photos of guests and selections from the presenters' family albums.
"Loose Women" is broadcast every weekday from 12.30 p.m.–1.30 p.m. on ITV1. Hodder will be working with ITV and the show's sponsors, Maltesers, to promote the book.
