Hodder & Stoughton has acquired a new book by former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff.
Consultant editor Roddy Bloomfield bought world rights to Second Innings from Richard Thompson at M&C Saatchi Merlin.
Second Innings is the “searingly honest yet uplifting next chapter” in Flintoff’s life story.
Bloomfield said: “Andrew Flintoff’s gifts are many and various. He can now regularly be relied upon to entertain us, as TV programmes follow his outrageous adventures from different parts of the world.
“Hodder are delighted to be publishing another explosive and honest book by Andrew for publication this autumn.”
Flintoff said: “This is my most candid autobiographical book to date and reveals the highs and lows of my experiences on and off the pitch.”
Flintoff has published a number of books, including Being Freddie: My Story So Far (Hodder & Stoughton) in 2005, and Ashes to Ashes (Hodder & Stoughton) in 2009.
Second Innings will be published in October 2015.
