Hodder & Stoughton has acquired a new Stephen King title, Full Dark, No Stars, a volume of four novellas.
Hodder editor Philippa Pride acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from US agent Chuck Verrill, for an undisclosed sum.
Hodder will publish in November, looking to build on the success of King's 2009 novel Under the Dome, which the publisher claimed "reached more readers than any other King hardback novel published in the UK in the last decade".
The publisher described the novellas as "darkly thrilling", adding they were "all linked by the theme of retribution, and are a showcase for the power of King's inimitable imagination".
