HMV records solid growth

<p>Waterstone's parent HMV Group has said its yearly profit will match the highest City expecations, after strong Christmas trading continued into the spring. Brokers Baird and Seymour Pierce both put group pretax profit at &#163;115m, against &#163;96.2m last time, for HMV's financial year to 24th April. Baird also set a sales figure of &#163;1.77bn, putting topline growth at 3.2% for the music and books group.
