Historian Weir's backlist to be published digitally

Cornerstone and Vintage are planning to release historian Alison Weir's backlist in e-book format for the first time.

Her non-fiction and fiction titles will be released individually by Vintage and Cornerstone respectively. Pricing has yet to be confirmed but the e-books will be available in the UK and Commonwealth. Alison Hennessey, editor at Vintage and digital media executive for Vintage publishing, said: "We are delighted to be able to make Alison's extensive backlist available via e-book for the first time, and bring a whole new audience to her fiction and non-fiction. Alison's informative, accessible style of writing lends itself perfectly to the digital format."

All 14 of Weir's titles will be available in e-book format by the end of April 2011. Two bundles have just been released, with one containing The Lady Elizabeth and Elizabeth, The Queen, priced £9.06 on Amazon.co.uk and the other combining The Captive Queen and Eleanor of Acquitaine, priced £13.32 on Amazon.co.uk. Introductions by Weir discuss how her research informs her fiction.
