Roisin Heycock has been appointed editorial director of the Quercus Children's Division with immediate effect. She was formerly acting head.
Heycock takes over from Suzy Jenvey, who joined the literary agency Peters Fraser & Dunlop as an agent and the head of its children's books division in November last year.
The children's list is being launched in March with Hazel's Phantasmagoria by Leander Deeny and Alan Healy's Tommy Storm.
Quercus's editor in chief Jon Riley said: "Rosin's tastes, her acquiring skills and her flair will make Quercus's children's publishing distinctive and imaginative. She has great judgement."
