Kate Hewson has been promoted to editorial director non-fiction for John Murray imprint Two Roads.
Hewson, previously senior commissioning editor, moved to Two Roads from Icon in 2015 and has since acquired and published titles including Arthur by Mikael Lindnord and national treasure David Attenborough's early diaries, Adventures of a Young Naturalist, which had been out of print for decades.
Among her upcoming titles for 2018 is artist and producer Akala's first non-fiction title, Natives, and broadcaster Henry Normal's A Normal Family: How to Survive the End of the World (When it's in your Own Head). Also on the horizon is the second instalment of Attenborough’s diaries, Journeys to the Other Side of the World.
Highton commented: “Over the last few years, Kate has proved herself to be an extremely canny and resourceful commercial publisher, embellishing the list with enviably smart acquisitions."
Hewson will continue to acquire "the best and biggest" non-fiction for the imprint, according to Hodder.
