John Murray Press imprint Two Roads has hired Kate Hewson as senior non-fiction editor.
Two Roads’ editorial assistant Fede Andornino has also been promoted to assistant editor.
Hewson, who will report to Two Roads’ publisher Lisa Highton, joins Two Roads on 2nd February from Icon, where she worked as a commissioning editor and published books including Harry’s Last Stand by Harry Leslie Smith. She was previously a non-fiction editor working across all imprints at Pan Macmillan.
Andornino, who joined Two Roads in 2013, has contributed to the publication of books including Kirsty Wark’s debut novel The Legacy of Elizabeth Pringle.
Highton said: “After a year of highs for Two Roads, we’re all delighted to welcome Kate, one of the brightest young editors in British publishing. We’re looking forward to expanding our UK non-fiction with her keen eye and expertise in 2015. Fede is a key member of our existing team, and his enthusiasm and contribution to our 2014 success is highly deserving of his new role.”
