Headline has acquired non-fiction title 52 Seductions by Betty Herbert, describing how Betty and her husband find romance again by seducing each other once a week for a year.
Rhea Halford, non-fiction editor at Headline Publishing Group, bought the manuscript, which started as a blog, from Felicity Blunt at Curtis Brown, acquiring British and Commonwealth rights, including Canada and with exclusive Europe.
Halford said: "Like talking to your girlfriends over a glass of wine, Betty's writing is funny, honest and touching. Everyone at Headline has become a big fan of 52 Seductions overnight and once booksellers get their hands on this title I know they will love it too."
Blunt said: "Betty and Headline make a truly seductive team! I'm delighted that Rhea, whose enthusiasm was persuasive from the start, will be helping to shape the new material and develop this witty and beautiful blog's content into an equally alluring and unique book."
Headline will publish in July 2010.
