HarperCollins has won a PR Week Award for internal communication.
The corporate communications team, led by Siobhan Kenny, won the award for their "Digital First" campaign, aiming to instill a digitially-focussed mindset among HC employees.
Arlo Brady, MD of Freud Communications said of the HC team: "Changing institutional attitudes is the hardest task in comms and HarperCollins has made a great start."
The publisher beat BUPA, Bacardi and the Royal Mail, as well as firstlight PR with AstraZeneca, run by Kenny's husband Pat.
Kenny said: "We really picked up this award for being part of a fantastic company whose ethos is about embracing the new and striving to be the best. There were no other publishers shortlisted in any category so it's a testament to HC's culture and dynamism."
The awards, run by PR Week magazine, recognise achievements in PR and communications, with the Olympics communications team becoming the biggest winners on the night.
