William Collins has signed an inside take on the Scottish independence referendum by former First Minister of Scotland and leader of the Yes campaign, Alex Salmond.
David Roth-Ey, executive publisher of Fourth Estate and William Collins, signed world English language rights to The Dream Shall Never Die: 100 Days that Changed Scotland Forever, in a deal with Caroline Michel at Peters, Fraser & Dunlop. It will be released on 19th March 2015.
The book is described as a "frank, honest and revealing" look at the campaign for Scottish independence, that also looks ahead at the impact of the debate on the future of Scotland and the UK.
Salmond said: "The referendum changed Scotland for ever. This is my story of the campaign and hopes for the future of the nation."
Roth-Ey said: "For anyone who was inspired by the indomitable spirit of the Scottish independence campaign, Alex Salmond’s The Dream Shall Never Die is a must read: a masterclass in the power of progressive politics by one of the biggest figures in UK politics."
