HC sets up global publishing programme

HarperCollins has set up a global publishing programme, HarperCollins 360, which aims to make each HC title available in all English-language markets, when the necessary rights are held.  

The first stage of the programme will see books published in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, India and Canada listed, published and available to booksellers and consumers in the US. The titles will be available in print and in digital formats, capitalising on the publisher's POD partnerships and warehouses with on-site printing machines.

HarperCollins UK's titles will be the first to be shared with HarperCollins 360's US team, from 1st July. By the end of 2012, Canadian and Australian authors' works will also be available in the US.

HC US group marketing director Jean Marie Kelly will take the role of HarperCollins 360 affiliate publisher, and will manage the editorial pipeline and marketing and publicity, working with colleagues at HC US, led by president of sales, Josh Marwell. Group international publisher Chris Wold is leading the initial process from the UK.

We are establishing new publishing roles, with marketing and publicity support, to maximise the global influence of our authors. Our vision is to have the entire HarperCollins book catalogue available for customers in all major territories for which we have rights.

HarperCollins' global catalogue comprises 50,000 print books and 40,000 e-books.
