HarperCollins Children’s Books has bought Sing, a YA novel about a fictional pop superstar, by US author Vivi Greene.
The book is about a singer called Lily Ross who decides she needs time away from the spotlight. She goes to the beach with two best friends and finds love with a local boy.
Sara Sargent, executive editor at HarperCollins Publishers in the US, acquired global English language rights from Joelle Hobeika and Eliza Swift at Alloy Entertainment. The UK and Commonwealth rights were acquired by Elizabeth Clifford, commissioning editor for entertainment at HarperCollins Children’s Books in the UK.
Sing is scheduled for simultaneous publication in the US and UK on 2nd June.
