Hay House buys Beacham's memoir

Hay House is to publish the "extraordinarily candid but heart-warming" autobiography of actor Stephanie Beacham, best known for her role as Sable Colby in the 1980s TV soap Dynasty.

Managing director and publisher Michelle Pilley bought world rights to My Many Lives from Maureen Vincent and Robert Kirby of United Agents. Pilley said: "Imagine a woman who has been the lover and friend of Hollywood legends, recalls the details of her past lives vividly, was a practising Buddhist, has experienced great tragedy and yet gone on to do her best acting work in her sixties, and you have a tiny glimpse of a fascinating woman".

She added the book would be "extraordinarily witty and sublimely down-to-earth."
Hay House says the book will chronicle how Beacham, who also acted in series including Tenko and Bad Girls, had a near-death experience in her thirties which propelled her on a "spiritual adventure" which has informed the rest of her life.

Publication in October 2011 will be accompanied by a major PR campaign and "extensive" advertising.
