HarperThorsons has acquired The Body Bible by Instagram “sensation” 'Clean Eating Alice' in a six-figure deal.
Carolyn Thorne, editorial director for HarperThorsons, bought UK and Commonwealth rights at auction for two books from Becca Barr at Becca Barr Management, with Carly Cook as writer and consultant.
As a “credible and trusted voice” in the health and fitness space, The Body Bible will see 'Clean Eating Alice' - real name Alice Liveing - using her "personal success story to inspire others”. Liveing will take her “positive and empowering message far and wide” with a “practical” and “accessible” book full of “delicious, affordable” recipes and “straightforward” exercises.
According to HarperThorsons, the book will be "the perfect no nonsense approach for busy people who want to make permanent changes.”
Thorne said: “I’m delighted to welcome Instagram sensation 'Clean Eating Alice' to the Thorsons well-being list. She’s a picture of health and positivity having turned her life around by developing a healthy relationship with food and exercise.”
Liveing said: “I couldn’t be more delighted to have signed with HarperCollins. From the very first meeting I knew I was in safe hands with a publisher as committed as I am to spreading the no-nonsense healthy word. Packed with hundreds of recipes for all occasions, including food on the go, dinner party ideas, as well as a 14 day food and exercise programme, this will be the ultimate, affordable food bible for people with busy lives who want beautiful and healthy bodies. I’ve got the all-round dream time and I can’t wait to get cracking.”
The Body Bible will be published by HarperThorsons on 19th May 2016.
