HarperCollins UK claims 'significant growth'

<p>HarperCollins UK has bucked the trend of its parent by claiming "significant growth" in its first quarter. By contrast, results published by owner News Corp showed both sales and profit down at HarperCollins Worldwide in the three months to 30th September, after a strong comparable quarter in 2005. </p><p>News Corp does not release financial for its UK unit, but Victoria Barnsley, c.e.o. of the HC UK, said: "It was a very good quarter for HCUK with significant growth over the same quarter last year.
