HarperCollins has snapped up two more teen romances from New York Times bestselling author Kiera Cass.
World English rights were bought by Harper Teen v.p. and publishing director Erica Sussman in a deal struck with Elana Roth Parker at Laura Dail Literary Agency. UK and Commonwealth rights were concluded by Harper fiction publisher Nick Lake. The Betrothed will publish on 5th May 2020 with details of the second book to be announced.
The Betrothed is “an epic royal romance featuring a daughter of nobility who has captured the heart of the king," the synopsis says "But Hollis soon realises that falling in love with a king and being crowned queen may not be the happily ever after she’s dreamed of. And when she meets a commoner with the mysterious power to see right into her heart she finds that the future she wants is one she never thought to imagine."
Cass said: “I'm so excited to publish The Betrothed. I've been thrilled to dive into a new world with new characters, and I hope readers will come to love them as much as I do.”
Sussman said: “I am beyond thrilled to be working with Kiera again. She is a master of her craft and I know readers will fall in love with this new duology.”
Cass is a number one New York Times bestselling author of the Selection (Harper) series and The Siren (Harper). The Selection was named an American Booksellers Associate Indie Next pick.
