HarperCollins is serving up two more books by romantic fiction author Cressida McLaughlin in her Cornish Cream Tea series.
Editorial director Kate Bradley acquired world English language rights from Hannah Ferguson at Hardman and Swainson for the novels.
HarperCollins has been publishing McLaughlin since 2015 and has seen success with the author's latest series featuring the Cornish cream tea bus. The new deal will see The Cornish Cream Tea Christmas released later this year and The Cornish Cream Tea Wedding arrive in summer 2021.
McLaughlin said: "I’m delighted to be writing more books with Kate and HarperCollins, and to be continuing the journey that started with The Cornish Cream Tea Bus. Writing this series is a total joy, and I’m so happy that readers love spending time in Cornwall with my characters as much as I do.”
Bradley said: ‘We’re over the moon to have signed up two more books in Cressida’s Cornish Cream Tea series. We’ve sold almost half a million of Cressida’s books since we discovered her five years ago, which is a testament to her utterly charming and uplifting stories. The Cornish Cream Tea Summer really has been the perfect lockdown escape, and no matter whether Cressida takes you away on a vintage bus or a gorgeous narrow boat, her ability to transport the reader on a magical journey is the key to her success. We’re so proud of our publishing partnership with Cressida and can’t wait to get back on Bertie the bus again!’
