HarperCollins Children’s Books is celebrating 40 years of the classic Brambly Hedge stories with a year-long publishing programme starting this autumn.
Jill Barklem’s adventures of a community of mice living in perfect harmony were first released in 1980 and have gone on to sell more than seven million copies worldwide in 24 languages, according to the publisher.
HarperCollins will begin its programme in September with the publication of The Complete Brambly Hedge, available as a 40th anniversary hardback gift edition with a brand new look. This collection brings together all eight of the classic stories in one printed volume.
All the core seasonal titles will also be released in a fresh new paperback style, beginning with Winter Story in October 2020 and then continuing with Spring Story, Summer Story and Autumn Story through 2021.
Mini hardback editions in the new livery will also be available along with a refreshed audio collection of the first four stories, A Year in Brambly Hedge.
HarperCollins said: “With this array of wonderful publishing, Brambly Hedge fans will once again be able to step back into this enchanting world and cherish these stories for years to come.”
