Hardie Grant Publishing has made two key senior appointments to its management team.
Caroline Proud (pictured) will take on the role of group sales director, UK and export, with immediate effect. She joins Hardie Grant from Quercus, where she was sales director. Her "extensive" experience in trade and illustrated publishing will enable the UK and Export teams to maximise opportunities across all markets, a Hardie Grant spokesperson said.
Proud said she is "thrilled to return to [her] roots in illustrated publishing" and to "work on the innovative and high quality lists of Hardie Grant and Quadrille".
Melanie Gray, former Quadrille UK sales director and currently a consultant on foreign rights, will start the newly-formed role of business development director for stationery this month.
Gray said: “I am delighted by the opportunity to head up the stationery programme across Hardie Grant Publishing and look forward to building on the successful global brands we have already in place under our Quadrille imprint, such as Cath Kidston, Royal Mail and The Natural History Museum.”
