Hachette Children’s to publish teen guide to life

Hachette Children’s Books has a acquired a guide to teenage life from Rosalind Jana, a former model and winner of the 2011 Vogue talent contest for young writers.

The Art of Being Teenage, which will hit the shelves in 2016, takes a common sense approach to adolescence and is a “toolkit, map and compass” for teenage girls.

Publishing director Joyce Bentley, who acquired the world rights from Diana Beaumont at Rupert Heath Agency, said: “Hachette Children's Books are proud to be publishing such an amazing author as Rosalind Jana. At 18, her writing talent, sustainable fashion ethos and considerableachievements in fashion, writing and online media will make her an inspiration to young women. Rosalind will draw on her own experiences and talk to a diverse range of people to write a book that is sure to resonate with today's teens.”

Jana began writing her blog Clothes, Cameras and Coffee at 14. She has contributed articles to Vogue, the Guardian and in 2013 won The Hippocrates Poetry Prize for Young Poets.
