Hachette has announced the next phase of its publishing series for video game sensation “Fortnite”.
Hachette UK, Hachette Book Group (US), Hachette Illustré (France) and Hachette España announced a multi-year agreement with developer Epic Games last October. It launched with a range of stationery and calendars, 100,000 of which were sold in the UK over six weeks.
In April, it will launch the the first Official Fortnite Battle Royale Survival Guide alongside day-by-day logbook the Official Fortnite Battle Journal.
The Official Fortnite How To Draw book, featuring, step-by-step instructions, Official Fortnite Outfits Collector’s Edition and Official Fortnite Supply Drop Collector’s Edition will all be published in July. The same month will see the launch of the Official Fortnite 2020 Calendar and Official Fortnite 2020 Diary. Even more titles will follow in the second half of 2019.
“Fortnite” has more than 250 million registered players around the globe, with 80 million taking part each month. This year sees the Fortnite World Cup with a $100m (£76m) prize fund on offer.
