Graft pays off for Headline

<p>For only the third time in 2005, Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code (Corgi) has been displaced from the top of the book charts. This week's lucky winner is Martina Cole, whose The Graft (Headline) sold 41,064 copies--3,020 more than Brown's bestseller. It is Cole's first overall number one since Maura's Game in November 2002.</p><p>Cole's success came in a poor week for book sales, with hot weather a possible factor in keeping footfall light on the high street.
