Lydia Good is joining HarperCollins from Ebury.
Good will begin as commissioning editor for HarperNonFiction next month, reporting to publisher Ed Faulkner, after three years with Ebury, where she published lifestyle books and well-known brands including Kilner Jars, Abel and Cole and The London Transport Museum.
Faulkner said: “Lydia is hugely talented and has a strong handle on the commercial realities of nonfiction publishing. We are very excited to have her join our team as we embark on an exciting period of growth. We look forward to her bringing a new energy to our publishing portfolio as she helps us develop more brand partnerships, IP projects and builds her own successful lifestyle list.”
Good said she was “passionate” about the future of nonfiction publishing, “particularly exploring non-traditional routes to market, which are becoming ever more important and afford unique creative opportunities”.
She said in her new role there was “huge potential to build a diverse and exciting lifestyle list” and added that she couldn’t “wait to be part of such an energetic team”.
