Pan Macmillan has acquired two novels from Lulu Taylor, previously published by Arrow.
Publishing director Wayne Brookes bought world rights in The Winter Folly and one other novel from Lizzy Kremer at David Higham Associates.
Brookes said: “The Winter Folly has all those Lulu traits that her readers adore—glamour, intrigue and fabulous twists. This new novel seethes with suspense and is bathed in secrets, making this an altogether darker novel than Lulu’s earlier books.”
Taylor added: "I'm so excited to be joining the wonderful team at Macmillan. I've always adored Wayne and admired his editorial brilliance, so it's a dream come to true to be working together.”
The Winter Folly will be published in autumn 2013 as paperback original and e-book.
Taylor's first novel Heiresses was published in 2007 and nominated for the RNA Reader's Choice award. It was followed by Midnight Girls, Beautiful Creatures and Outrageous Fortune, all set against the backdrop of glamorous high society.
