The Girl on the Train derails The Boss for a ninth week at number one

The Girl on the Train (Black Swan) has chugged its way back into the UK Official Top 50 number one spot, selling 49,506 copies for £234,242. Its film tie-in edition rose to second place as the Emily Blunt-starrring adaptation was released in cinemas, and the combined volume of both formats totalled 84,342 copies, only 5,000 copies fewer than the paperback’s highest week.
