Chef Gino D’Acampo is to write a vegetarian cookbook for Hodder & Stoughton.
Gino’s Veg Italia! The Healthy Way to Eat Like an Italian will be D’Acampo’s first exclusively meat-free book.
Lifestyle publisher Nicky Ross commissioned the title in a two-book deal with agent Jeremy Hicks of Jeremy Hicks Associates.
Ross said of D'Acampo: “His passion and enthusiasm for his home country and his delicious but accessible recipes have brought him to a whole new audience.
“Gino has always been interested in eating healthy food so this was an obvious subject for him. The aim is to make the British love their vegetables as much as the Italians do and if anyone can do that it’s Gino.”
Hodder & Stoughton now publish all of D’Acampo’s books, both television tie-ins and standalones.
Gino’s Veg Italia! The Healthy Way to Eat Like an Italian will be published in April 2015.
