Germany launches oddest title prize

<p>Germany has launched its own oddest book title prize, imitating the <em>The Bookseller</em>&#39;s Diagram Prize for the Oddest Book Title of the Year. </p><p>The Literary Saloon blog spotted the launch: &quot;After shamelessly copying the Man Booker Prize for the German Book Prize, the Germans are now also imitating the <a href="../Diagram-Prize" target="_blank">Diagram Prize for the Oddest Book Title of the Year </a>with their own German oddest book title (&quot;Kuriosester Buchtitel&quot;) prize.&quot;</p><p>Unlike the Diagram Prize, it includes a few &quot;literary&quot; titles, such as Josef Winkler&#39;s <em>Ich rei&szlig; mir eine Wimper aus und stech dich damit tot</em> (<em>I&#39;m going to pluck one of my eyelashes out and stab you to death with it</em>). </p>
