"Geordie Shore" star Vicky Pattison, who released her autobiography earlier this year, is to write two novels.
Manpreet Grewal, commissioning editor, acquired world rights to the books for Little, Brown Book Group imprint Sphere from David Riding at MBA.
Pattison’s novels will focus on a “young woman who’s plucked from obscurity and thrown into the media-crazy world of reality TV”.
Grewal said: “Vicky is a passionate, smart and hardworking businesswoman who has a very strong idea of the positive message she wants these books to send to her fans. They will be page-turning and entertaining stories with a wonderfully inspiring message at the core.”
Pattison’s autobiography, Nothing But the Truth, was also published by Sphere.
The reality TV star said: “I'm so excited to be working with Sphere again on my upcoming novels. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time and I couldn't be happier to have this opportunity to get these books in front of my fans. These novels are going to be full of heart, glamour and romance and will feature aspirational heroines that every 20-something woman can relate to. I can't wait to get started.”
Sphere will publish the first novel straight into B format in June 2015, followed by the second novel in hardback in October 2015.
