Quadrille has signed a series of cookery titles for 2015 and 2016, including a book from "Great British Bake Off" finalist Richard Burr and new books from Michelin starred chef Nathan Outlaw.
Publishing director Sarah Lavelle signed BIY: Bake it Yourself by Richard Burr, in a deal for world rights with Rosemary Scoular at United Agents. Burr was a runner-up in the 2014 series of "Great British Bake Off", creating bakes using his skills as a builder. He said: "The past year has been amazing for me, and getting the chance to capture all my baking ideas in a recipe book is an incredible opportunity." The book will be published in August 2015.
Lavelle has also signed two new titles from Nathan Outlaw, with the first, Everyday Seafood, set for publication in spring 2016. World rights were signed from Borra Garson at Deborah McKenna Limited. Lavelle said: "Nathan is one of the best chefs in the country – he goes from strength to strength, and we’re absolutely delighted to be working with him again on his third book."
In addition to Lavelle's signing, senior editor Céline Hughes has signed two books. The first, planned for spring 2016, is by Ben Tish, chef director at London's Ember Yard restaurant. Grill Smoke BBQ was signed from Martine Carter at Sauce Management. The second is the first book from the team behind the burger chain Byron, Tom Byng and Fred Smith. Hughes signed the book from Veronique Baxter at David Higham Associates.
