Book wholesaler and consultant service Bookspeed has appointed Gary Weston as its new m.d with immediate effect. Co-owner Kingsley Dawson has moved on to become chairman of the company, which is in its 25th year. Weston has previously worked for Sky, Scottish Enterprise and Yellow Pages and intends to expand existing business and develop new revenue streams at Bookspeed.
Owners of Bookspeed, Kingsley Dawson and Annie Rhodes, said: "Gary brings ambition, drive and a whole new skill set to Bookspeed. There is massive potential for the business and with our recent investment in new IT systems we are perfectly poised to develop that potential. Gary has the skills we were looking for to help the team realise the plans for growth that we have been developing over the past two years."
Bookspeed is the trading name of Rhodawn Ltd. It was founded in 1986 by Annie Rhodes and Kingsley Dawson.
