This year's FutureBook Live programme has now been published online, featuring speakers such as Alex Fane, managing director of Fane Productions; advertising guru Dave Buonaguidi; Booker director Gaby Wood; Bluebird publisher Carole Tonkinson; and Jodie Ginsberg c.e.o. of Index on Censorship.
The programme is the broadest yet, tackling subjects from global publishing to publishing freedom, from the continuing rise of audio to what the future holds for printed textbooks, from female leadership in publishing to how to innovate effectively; the one-day London conference brings the smartest thinkers together to challenge, educate, and inspire the more than 500 delegates and sponsors who will attend the event in London on 25th November.
Philip Jones, editor of The Bookseller, said: "This year we’ve challenged ourselves to think beyond digital and innovation to the issues facing the book business today, from wherever they may come. The speakers this year will provide unique and compelling perspectives on how to operate most effectively in an environment that needs our constant focus and attention; from the big issues around leadership and the global marketplace, to the more granular stuff on the audiobook market and what resources schools need, this year’s event promises to be both practical and inspirational."
The early bird rate is available for the remainder of today, with delegates also invited to apply for the free training day, hosted by Consonance. A series of four "lunch & learn" masterclasses is to be announced soon.
Keynotes include Waterstones m.d. James Daunt, the brand strategist behind #Merky Books Akua Agyemfra, AI specialist Chris Duffey, Orion m.d. Katie Espiner, and data analyst Paul Abbassi, a.k.a.
