The Bookseller has officially unveiled the final programme for its digital conference, FutureBook 2013.
The conference is being held in London this year on 21st November. The final speakers join more than 40 executives from across the book business, including HarperCollins UK chief executive Charlie Redmayne, Seni Glaister, chief executive of The Book People, and journalist Brad Stone, author of The Everything Store.
Literary agent Simon Trewin, partner and UK head of literary at the William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, is the latest to join the "big ideas" session at FutureBook 2013, at which industry insiders will pitch their innovations for the business. The session, chaired by Faber chief executive Stephen Page, also sees Canongate m.d. Jamie Byng, author Jeff Norton, and Osprey chief executive Rebecca Smart showcase initiatives.
Meanwhile, David Henderson, managing director of Top That Publishing and Tide Mill Media, will join the session on "Overcoming the challenges of non-fiction & children’s content". Henderson joined Top That Publishing in 2009 as digital publishing director before taking over as managing director at the start of 2011. He has recently restructured the children's publisher to form Tide Mill Media, which now operates two new startups—Playcreate and Loved By Kids. The other speakers in this session are Frank Chambers, vice-president of publishing Guinness World Records, and Janet Meadowcroft, formerly brand development director with Future Publishing.
In total more than 40 speakers will address the more than 600 delegates who are expected to attend Europe's largest publishing conference.
Nigel Roby, publisher and chief executive of The Bookseller, added: "We are delighted with this line-up, which reflects the professional way this industry has adapted to and adopted digital. The conference is now the essential meeting point for people and ideas from across the book world."
