Pavilion Books has appointed Taschen’s Matt Fry as UK sales manager.
Previously UK sales director for the art book publisher, Fry will lead Pavilion’s heritage sales team in the newly-created role, with a brief to grow the publisher's sales and customer base.
Pavilion is an independent publisher specialising in illustrated books, based in London. Its heritage team sells titles from the publisher and its imprint Pitkin into the gift and heritage sector such as cathedrals, country houses, museums, galleries and other tourist sites and visitor attractions.
David Graham, Pavilion Books m.d, said: "I’m delighted that someone of Matt’s calibre and experience is joining Pavilion to lead the heritage sales team. His tenacity, drive and sound commercial sense will be instrumental in growing this new and exciting venture into a substantial business."
Fry revealed he was delighted "to be given the opportunity to lead this new team and make an impact on a key part of the business". He said: "It's a great chance to offer a growing and varied portfolio of heritage titles to the UK's non-book trade".
Fry will join Pavilion in January 2018 and will be available on mfry@pavilionbooks.com.
