Frog pays £2m for I Education

Yorkshire-based technology company Frog Education has acquired I Education, the owner of assessment tool I am Learning (IAL), in a deal worth more than £2m.

Frog Education will integrate IAL, which is used in more than 1,000 schools, into its own services.

Gareth Davies, m.d. of Frog, said he was “delighted” with the deal. “By fully integrating I am Learning into Frog we can continue to develop the cutting edge technology tools that are transforming assessment:empowering teachers to personalise learning, track pupil progress, and ultimately ensuring that no child gets left behind.”

Frog already owned a majority share in I Education, after taking a 51% stake in 2012, and offers IAL as part of its services in Malaysia.

In January Frog won ICT Company of the year award, in the category for firms with turnover of between £1-10m, at BETT 2015.
