Foyles taps into Blackwell's training

Foyles, the Charing Cross Road independent bookshop, is to tap into the staff training and development resources of its larger rival Blackwell's.</p><p>
Sharon Murray, Foyles general manager, said Foyles and Blackwell's had agreed to discuss how they could work together on training, after the closure of the Booksellers Association's retail training schemes.</p><p>
Foyles may pay for a training module from Blackwell's, or it may send its staff to Oxford for non-commercially sensitive training. A visiting trainer from Blackwell's was also a possibility. After the BA's training department...
