Four from McLachlan for Bloomsbury Children's

Bloomsbury Children’s Books has acquired four books in a series from debut author Jenny McLachlan.

Ele Fountain, senior commissioning editor at Bloomsbury Children’s Books, acquired the UK and Commonwealth rights from Julia Churchill at AM Heath.

The series is aimed at readers aged 12 and over and focuses on the Ladybirds - Bea, Betty, Kat and Pearl, a group of former friends who no longer get on. The series will launch with Flirty Dancing, which will be released 3rd July 2014 in paperback and e-book.

In Flirty Dancing, Bea decides to enter a talent competition, and complicates matters by choosing Pearl’s boyfriend Ollie as her dancing partner.
