Novelist Tony Black has signed a four-book deal with Scotland’s Cargo Publishing.
Helen Sedgwick, joint m.d. of Cargo Publishing, signed world rights to the novels directly from Black.
She said: “Tony Black is a writer of enormous skill and depth and we’re absolutely delighted that he’s chosen to join Cargo with his next four books.”
The four books will include crime and general fiction.
Black said: “The first book of the new contract will come out in late 2015 and is called The Wild Beasts. It's a historical thriller set in Paris at the turn of the last century, so a book that blends my two writing interests together and we're all very excited to get this one out there.”
Black is the author of a number of novels, including six published with Random House.
His most recent book, The Last Tiger, published with Cargo, was shortlisted for the Guardian’s Not the Booker Prize.
