Former winners to face each other in Carnegie shortlist


Three leading children's authors and former winners of the Carnegie Medal are to face each other in the battle for this year's prize.</p><p>

The shortlist for the Library Association Carnegie Medal includes former winners David Almond for Heaven Eyes (Hodder), Melvin Burgess for The Ghost Behind the Wall (Andersen Press) and Philip Pullman for The Amber Spyglass (Scholastic).
