Cornerstone is planning promotions for Monuments Men by Robert M Edsel, as the George Clooney film of the same name is released.
Robert M Edsel’s book Monuments Men, which tells the tale of the Monuments, Fine Arts & Archives section of the Allied forces, a collection of museum curators and art historians who rescued the masterpieces looted by Hitler, was originally released in 2009 by Preface.
A film tie-in edition of the book was published in January by Arrow, featuring the film’s stars, including Clooney, Matt Damon and Bill Murray on the cover.
Cornerstone said the heavy push for the film – to include Channel 4 and More 4 advertising, nationwide bus side ads, digital underground ads and press ads across all broadsheets on release date (14th February) - should bring an upswing in sales.
Vouchers for a free copy of the book from Tesco will be on offer in the Daily Telegraph will carry vouchers on 16th February for readers to claim a free copy of the book.
Author Edsel will be attending the film’s premiere on 11th February in Leicester Square, London, and appearing on programmes including BBC1's "The One Show", "Sky News" and BBC Radio 2's "Simon Mayo" as part of the publicity.
