Fiction moves at Pan Mac

<p>Pan Macmillan has made two promotions within its fiction team, saying they signal &quot;a significant step&quot; in the publisher&#39;s &quot;strategy for growing its fiction business over the next three years&quot;. </p><p>Imogen Taylor has been promoted to publishing director, fiction. Pan Mac said Taylor, who has published big brand names Wilbur Smith and Ken Follett as well as acquiring authors such<br />as Elizabeth Hyde and Tess Stimpson, will continue to specialise in the publishing of women&#39;s fiction while also acquiring authors in other genres.</p><p>Meanwhile Will Atkins is promoted to editorial director for fiction, with a specific brief for debut authors and British crime writers. He will also continue to be responsible for the Macmillan New Writing list.<br /></p>
