HarperCollins has inked a “significant” seven-figure dollar deal with Raymond E Feist for six new novels.
Jane Johnson, publishing director at SFF imprint HarperVoyager, signed world rights from Arabella Stein at the Abner Stein Agency on behalf of Jonthan Matson at the Harold Matson Company.
Feist has been published by Harper since his first novel Magician in 1982. Magician was the first in Feist’s Riftwar Cycle, which came to a conclusion last year with Magician’s End, the 30th volume in the series.
The new deal will begin with a series called The War of the Five Crowns, which draws influence from medieval history and Arthurian legend. HarperVoyager will publish the first of the series, King of Ashes, in May 2014.
