Faber has signed a book on the shifting political landscape in Turkey, titled Turkish Awakening.
The publisher signed world English language rights in the book by Alev Scott, in a deal with Georgina Capel at Capel & Land.
Scott was born in London in 1987 to a Turkish mother and British father, and studied classics at Oxford. After working in theatre, she moved to Istanbul in 2011 where she taught Latin before becoming a freelance journalist for the British press. She also blogs about society and politics in Turkey, and has been following the recent protests which have seen the secular middle classes clashing with the religious working classes and the leadership of the Justice and Development Party.
Faber plans to publish the book in spring 2014.
