Faber has released a graphic novel version of Paul Auster's City of Glass for the Playstation Portable gaming device.
Priced £4.79, the novel is illustrated by Paul Karasik and David Mazzucchelli, with an introduction by comic artist Art Spiegelman.
Henry Volans, head of Faber Digital, said: "The success of the PSP Comic Store has opened up a new channel for digital book publishing. We're proud to be among the first UK book publishers to release titles to the platform, not least because City of Glass is so brilliantly characteristic of Faber's publishing. It's great to see this graphic novel paired with a dynamic new platform for reading."
Paul Rhodes, owner of Orb Entertainment, who developed the new version of the book, said: "In the PSP Comic Store, we have a ready-made content delivery pipeline that perhaps isn't as established in other forms of digital book publishing. PlayStation Network consumers are well-versed in shopping for, and acquiring, digital content.
"I'm thrilled to have worked with Faber and Faber on such a fabulously realised book. It's a title that I believe will offer something truly unique to PSP consumers, and may just challenge the perception of what a comic strip has to be."
