Faber is set to publish Andrew O' Hagan's latest novel, Mayflies, this autumn.
Publisher Alex Bowler acquired the UK and Commonwealth rights for Mayflies from Peter Straus at RCW, while Jared Bland, McClelland & Stewart will publish in Canada.
The novel explores a historic friendship that defines a character and a "lifetime's loyalty and the joy and the costs of love", examined through the lens of 1980's working class Britain.
Bowler said: "Full of the euphoria of discovering the world with your best friend, then laced with the pain of bidding that world farewell, Mayflies is a novel of the deepest emotional resonance—a profound heartbreaker from the most dextrous literary talent."
O'Hagan is the editor-at-large of the London Review of Books, and has sold 111,562 books for £907,599, through Nielsen BookScan UK TCM. His bestseller, Be Near Me, is published by Faber.
Mayflies will be released on 3rd September.
