Faber Factory Plus to represent Lonely Planet

Lonely Planet’s books will now be represented by Faber Factory Plus in high street chains and independent bookstores, which the publisher hopes will help it to reach new accounts for the first time.

The partnership began on 1st August 2012 and will see Faber Factory Plus work with Lonely Planet’s team to “maximise in-store presence within the trade".

Lonely Planet sales and marketing director, Shona Gold, said the company was “delighted” to be working with Faber Factory Plus. “Most significantly this appointment will give Lonely Planet in-store representation nationwide including new accounts which we will reach for the first time,” she said.

Lonely Planet’s in-house sales team, managed by head of sales Neil Manders, will continue to focus on the management of key accounts across the EMEA region.

The appointment of Faber Factory Plus replaces the previous structure of a team of freelance merchandisers.
