Exclusive deal for Amazon's Kindle

<p>Amazon.com has struck a deal with Globe Pequot Press imprint Lyons Press in the US to offer separate biographies of the two potential first ladies on an exclusive basis to users of Amazon&#39;s Kindle e-book reader, reports the Wall Street Journal. </p><p>The two titles, <em>Cindy McCain: Elegance, Good Will and Hope for a New America</em> by Alicia Colon and <em>Michelle Obama: Grace and Intelligence in a Time of Change</em> by Elizabeth Lightfoot, will be published as e-books by Lyons Press, but only book about the winning candidate&#39;s wife will be published as a traditional, $14.95 paperback. </p><p>&quot;We&#39;ll begin printing the biography of the winner as soon as we know her name,&quot; said Scott Watrous, president and publisher of Globe Pequot Press.</p><p>Amazon&#39;s Kindle, which made its d&eacute;but last November, has had titles on an exclusive basis in the past, such as Terry Goodkind&#39;s novel Wizard&#39;s First Rule.</p>
