Egmont has pledged a "significant" six-figure investment in marketing and PR for Laura Ellen Anderson’s Amelia Fang series in 2019, capitalising on a "stellar" first year for the titles.
According to Nielsen BookScan, the two books in the series have sold a combined 32,634 copies. The first book, Amelia Fang and the Barbaric Ball, published in October 2017 and launched as Waterstones Children’s Book of the Month. The series has also been a "major" rights success, said th epublisher, with 20 deals agreed so far and "significant" ongoing interest.
The third in the series Amelia Fang and the Memory Thief will publish in October 2018, followed by two books in 2019, supported by a "huge" marketing and PR campaign across retail, consumer, print and digital.

In Amelia Fang, she has created a character that has charmed the world over, and together with Hardie Grant Egmont and our export and rights partners, we plan to drive the series to global bestseller status.
