Egmont has launched 14Stories14Days: a new website, inspired by the recommended 14 days of self-isolation, offering 14 days of free content to provide entertainment and educational support for parents, carers and children across the UK.
Content includes new author videos, filmed story times, illustration tutorials and daily competitions. Activity sheets for children in Pre-school to KS3 can be downloaded directly from the website. Lesson plans and lesson notes, previously available to teachers and librarians, are now also free for parents to access and help their child during the current school closures.
"With schools closed, many parents and carers may be concerned that their child will fall behind with learning," said Egmont. "However, there is no need to invent a new way to teach advanced grammar using a rap song; the simple act of sitting down with children for story time, no matter how old they are, will make a world of difference."
The website is now available, at www.14stories14days.co.uk.
